Blue Plaque Unveiling & Tribute Lunch for Jeremy Lloyd OBE
On Sunday the 21st May, Vicki unveiled a Heritage Foundation Blue Plaque in tribute to the much revered comedy writer, performer, poet and wit Jeremy Lloyd OBE. The unveiling, which took place privately at his former home in London, was followed by a Tribute Luncheon hosted by Vicki and aided and abetted by John D. Collins at The Marriott Hotel, Regent’s Park.

Probably best known for his work on series such as Allo Allo and Are You Being Served, Captain Beaky and Captain Gregory Dangerfiled the event was attended by many of Jeremy’s friends and colleagues including; Bill Wyman, Amanda Barrie, Mike Berry, Michael Knowles, Jeffrey Holland, Judy Buxton, Amanda Platell, Andrew Pierce and of course, the cast of Allo Allo including; Kirsten Cooke, Guy Siner, Sue Hodge Carol Ashby, Phoebe Scholfieldand Nicholas Frankau.

During the afternoon tributes were made by Vicki, Lionel Blair and Jess Conrad OBE while Jeremy’s wife Lizzy shared some funny and poignant memories from the life and work of her husband.
Entertainment was provided by David Hook and The Trembling Wilburys.

Comedian Adger Brown led the charity auction which culminated in the sale of the legendary painting, ent The Fallen Madonna with the Big Boobies by Van Clomp much to the delight of those present and which played such a prominent role in the TV series Allo Allo.
